In general, this trip is made for those who have a short time in Marrakech. However, our 2 days desert tour from Marrakech will enable you to do and see the main highlights of the Sahara desert.
For instance, you will see the high Atlas Mountains, pass by many kasbahs on the way, and experience the camel ride through the dunes. Besides, our trip offers you a night in a nomad camp in the Zagora desert.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Ait Benhaddou - Agdz - Zagora
Our first day of the 2 days desert tour from Marrakech to Zagora starts at 8:00 AM. Our Begaa Tours driver will come to pick you up from your Riad in Marrakech in a comfortable air-conditioned 4x4 car. Furthermore, we leave the Red City behind and drive southeast crossing the high Atlas mountains.
On the way, we will see many Berber villages. After about 100 kilometers, we start to go up as we reach the Tizi N'Tichka pass (2160m). The pass is usually covered in snow during wintertime. We will stop at one of the cafes in Tichka to stretch our legs, and have a coffee.
Arriving to Ouarzazate. Obviously, we will stop to visit the beautiful Kasbah of Taourirt and the Museum of Cinema as Ouarzazate is a noted film-making location. After Visiting the attractions of Ouarzazate, we will drive again through the beautiful valleys for another 90 kilometers to reach Agdz and appreciate the view of its palmary from a high point.
After lunch, we continue our desert trip to the city of Zagora. The camels await you at the end of the paved road to take you to the camp. Once you arrive at the camp in the Zagora desert. Then, you will be welcomed by the staff, given your tents, and gathered for a mint tea session.
The night in the desert camp has usually a clear sky and you can see countless stars. After a nice homemade dinner. We gather around the fire to enjoy local music and dance around the fire.
Day 2: Zagora - Draa valley - Agdz - Ouarzazate - Tizi N'Tichka - Marrakech
On the second day of 2 days tour from Marrakech to Zagora, we recommend waking up early for sunrise to take memorable photos. After breakfast and shower, you ride the camels back to meet the car at the end of the paved road.
After we leave Zagora behind we head straight back to the fortified village of Ait Benhaddou, where you will have lunch, before exploring the site. The Kasbah was declared by UNESCO a world heritage site.
The village is known as a backdrop for many cinematographic works. For instance, "The Gladiator", "Lawrence of Arabia" and even some scenes "Game of Thrones" were shot in this village. Ksar Ait Benhaddou was a pausing station for the caravans traveling along the Ounila valley, the merchants either exchanged goods here and go back to the desert, or pause to rest and then continue to Marrakech, they used to trade salt, silver, and slaves.
In short, after visiting the Ksar of Ait Benhaddou, we will take the road back to Marrakech, to arrive there at around 6 or 7 pm, where the 2 days desert tour from Marrakech to Zagora as the driver will drop you at your accommodation.

The Best Morocco Tour!!
Begaa Tours tailored our amazing 14 day tour of Morocco to suit our personal travel style. They included hotel, riad and camping options to cater to our preferred accommodation type and organised transport to suit our small group of 8 (2 X 4WD Toyota Prados) Our two tour guides, Ahmed and Muhammad, were so professional, knowledgeable, willing and able. Nothing was too much trouble for them to handle or fix at any time. They both had friendly personalities with big smiles on their faces and great senses of humour to boot. They were both excellent drivers and took us to see the best of Morocco including Casablanca, Chefchaouen, Fes, Marrakech, the Ziz Valley, the Atlas Mountains, the Essourian coast, the Sahara, and so much more in between. Begaa Tours Moroccan experience
This was an excellent experience with great tour guides looking at all the excellent places in Morocco. The accomodation was great, from Riads in the old cities to desert tents and more modern accomodation.
Both Ahmed & Mohammed were full of knowledge, and accomodating of our needs. The Camel ride in the Desert was an experience as well, from sand storms, to rain and clear skies the next morning. I would recommend Begaa Tours, and definitely do it again
NO BETTER WAY TO SEE MOROCCO
Our unbelievable 14 days with Begaa Tours in Morocco started in Casablanca and finished in Marrakech travelling through Rabbat, Meknes, Chefchaouen the blue city and onto Fes with 2 days to explore this amazing ancient city. Moving on to the Ziz Valley near Aoufous, we stayed in a beautiful hotel overlooking the date palm hub of Morocco. Our 2 hr guided walk with Said through the local farming plots under the date palms was a fantastic way to witness the day to day life of the village families working their farming plots. On our arrival at Et Taous the camels were waiting to begin our 1 1/2 hour afternoon trek into the Sahara Desert at sunset for our amazing overnight 'glamping experience'...wow this tour is amazing! The breathtaking drive over the High Atlas Mountains heading through Marrakech en route to the coastal city of Essaouira for a relaxing day and last minute shopping.
Another family member had previously travelled with Begaa Tours on 2 other occasions and had assured us of the high standard they deliver.
